Feeling Good At Times

This is my very first blog and somehow I got inspired to write something about the importance of feeling good, at least, at times.

They say being in India from a middle class family is difficult. The difficulty level varies and increases a bit if you are a woman and it increases a bit more if you are a rural woman and a little more difficulty adds up when you are from the family that is obsessed with lot of religious beliefs that is imposed mostly on women.

Times have changed and we are in the era where westernization is responsible for most of the culture change. And to be honest, I've been a little more lucky being a woman than I think being in the community where I am where most families are dominating. Yes, I can say that I have at least half lived my life and have been fortunate enough to experience the "feeling good" factor at least at times and this encourages me to encourage the other women out there who wanted to live their life as they would wish to.

How many times in a year, or in a month or in a day have we felt that we have lived for the moment and that we are worth spending the time for ourselves, or at least, giving it a try. Or rather, how many times after feeling low, have we lifted ourselves up? Everyone knows its difficult, but each one of us have the right to feel good, at least, at times. So, the question is, how do we feel good? Well, there are a lot of ways. The most common way is being in the present and that happens when you experience now. Learning a new skill, or joining a new sport, or learning to play a musical  instrument, or may be some vocal classes, or may be making new friends and making someone smile, a lot of giving or may be a brisk walk, or learning how to run, and not to forget, the beach walk therapy can do wonders which we haven't thought about. If you haven't try meditation, well, it works amazing and there are styles of meditation. Just pick up what makes you feel best, or travel alone and just use 30 minutes out of your busy schedule and try something new or something that you fear and see the difference it makes. In short, feel good, at times!
